Butterfly for a Day

Hello! I know it’s late in the day, but I wanted to squeeze this post in before the weekend arrives, and it’s going to be a HOT one here (old news, I know). Yesterday Sam and I ventured out to the butterfly rainforest at the Florida Museum of Natural History. I chose this gorgeous Brewster dress in the Rhode Island Reef pattern that I scored at last year’s After Party Sale (AKA the End of Summer Sale), because I thought the bright colors would be a surefire way to get the butterflies to land on me – my way of dressing as a “butterfly for a day”, if you will.

As I’ve mentioned before (and will probably still be mentioning until fall), Florida summers are HOT. And in the warm, humid butterfly rainforest, I needed to throw something on that would keep me cool. Brewster t-shirt dress to the rescue! All the fun of a Lilly dress in a lightweight t-shirt material. Processed with VSCOcam with c1 preset
